Games we play

One of Ari's favorite games is "Hat?" aka "Is it a hat?"
This game involves putting a variety of things on our heads and he says "hat?" Or I say "is that a hat?" It could actually be a hat, or a measuring cup, a block, a stuffed animal... for some reason he really enjoys playing this game during meals when he has something like mustard all over his hands. Is mustard a hat? No. That is not a hat. That is mustard. Or nayhayhayhayhayhay in Ari-speak. Yes, five hays.
Another of his favorite things to do is stick his finger in your eye while saying eye. Today, he combined these two games. He stuck his finger in my eye and said "eye," then again and gave my eyelid a good thorough poking and said "hat" several times. Is that a hat? No. That is my eyelid. Sort of a hat for my eye I suppose.
And that is how a baby's brain works.
